Wireless Broadband: If you are unaware, LiSP is supplying wireless
broadband progressively throughout the Lithgow
region under the Commonwealth Governments Broadband Connect
Scheme.
There are no installation fees as an existing
customer, and only a 2 month contract. The
network utilizes licensed spectrum and proprietary
protocols and is secure.
At present we have two major access points,
one at Reservoir Hill, (TV translator) and
the other at Ghoul's Hill, South Bowenfels.

We will be offering far greater speeds before
the end of september with the commissioning
of a new fibre optic upstream connection.

This service is being
made available with the support of the Australian
Government’s
$107.8 million Higher Bandwidth Incentive Scheme
(Broadband Connect), which provides financial incentives
to Internet service providers to bring prices
for broadband services in line with those available
in the larger cities.
LiSP receives an incentive from the Australian
Government for the provision of your service.
Longer-term benefits have also been built into
Broadband Connect. For example, we must offer your Broadband Connect
service at its current price for a minimum of
three years and comply with a range of other
consumer safeguards. Our service standards under
Broadband Connect will be regularly monitored and audited
by the Australian Government.
