To start configuring Internet Explorer 4, double click on the Internet Explorer icon located on the desktop.

From the drop down menu marked ‘View’ select ‘Internet Options’

By Clicking on the ‘Connection’ tab, the Connection settings will be displayed, this is the section where most of the setting changes will take place.

Check that the option ‘Connect to the Internet using a modem’ is selected then click on the button marked ‘Settings’

Use the option list underneath ‘Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection’ and select ‘LiSP’

The login details are the same as the details you use when you dial into LiSP.

Enter your user name (eg: johnsmith) into the field located next to ‘User’ and enter your password into the field located next to ‘Password’.

Click Ok .

To complete the configuration of Internet Explorer 4, Click on the button labeled ‘Apply’ and then click on the button labeled ‘Ok’.

To configure the Proxy Server settings, check the box labeled ‘Access the Internet using a proxy server’

NB: You will need to check your Internet Settings for your location to find out the proxy setting you should use.

Enter address "proxy.lisp.com.au" and Port "3128" (make sure it is the same setting as in your Internet Settings)

To complete the configuration of Internet Explorer 4, Click on the button labeled ‘Apply’ and then click on the button labeled ‘Ok’
