Click the Windows "Start Button"

Select "Programs" from the start menu, then select the mIRC program group

When mIRC opens, close the About mIRC window.

You will then see the "mIRC options" window appear

Type clients name or a preferred name

Type in Clients Email address

Choose a nickname and an alternative one incase the first nickname is already used

Select a server from the list. Click a server closest to you

eg: IRCnet: AU, Sydney

Then click "OK" to save these settings

Click on the "Connect to IRC server" to connect to the selected server
