In order to connect an imac to the Internet there are some configuration settings that must be set first.
 

First of all you have Remote Access which stores the username, password and phone number details. 
 

 
To get to this information you need to click once on the Apple in the top left corner, then select Control Panels, then select Remote Access.

 

After selecting Remote Access you will be taken to the screen where you need to type in your username, password and the phone number you are dialling.

Once you have entered that information, click the Options button and then click the tab at the top called Protocols and untick the 4th box called Connect to a command-line host:

 

With that information entered you can now click the OK button and the imac is now ready to establish a conenction

Next step is to configure the DNS settings.

Click once on the Apple in the top left corner, then select, Control Panels, then select TCP/IP.

 

Next, set all the 
options to be same as the screenshot below and the imac is now ready to connect to the internet with LiSP Internet Services.
