To start the configuration of FreePPP, open the FreePPP Control Panel and fill out the screen as per the image on the right. Click on the button marked ‘Modem setup’.

Fill out the screen as per the image on the left. Under the Modem Init strings settings section, select ‘Use’ and enter at&f in the field next to it. Click ‘Ok’ to continue.

Click on the tab marked ‘Accounts’, select LiSP and click the ‘Edit’ button. If a Hotkey account doesn’t exist you can create one by clicking on the button marked ‘New’.

Click on the tab marked ‘Account’ and fill out the fields as per the image on the left.

Make sure the phone number is correct, if you are unsure go to

LiSP dial up numbers for a complete listing.

Ensure this is a local call charge.

Enter the Username and Password into the fields provided.

Click on the tab marked ‘Connection’ and fill out the fields as per the image on the right.

Click on the tab marked ‘Options’ and leave the fields blank. Ensure that IP Address is set to ‘Assigned by PPP server’

Click ‘Ok’ to continue, next click on the button marked ‘Open MacTCP’

Click on the FreePPP icon once so it highlights and click on the button marked ‘More’

NB: You will need to check your LiSP Internet Settings for your location. 

Fill out the fields as per the image on the right of the screen and click on the button marked ‘Ok’, and then ‘Ok’ again. The configuration of FreePPP has now been completed.
