Modem Troubleshooting - Some Humourous reasons

These are some examples from our clients. Maybe this has happened to you.

Humourous examples

LiSPie Hunt: 'A bug in the system'
After going through all the processes of elimination LiSPie Hunt decided in frustration to pull his wall phone apart. He quickly noticed a dead huntsman. Having removed the 'bugger' he reassembled his phone and tried is connection again. Low and behold he had fould the culprit and guess what? No more connection problems.

LiSPie Shirl: 'Nesting Ants'
My telecom box out the front frequently fills up with ants and their dirt and eggs which first creates noise on the line but eventually completely disconnects. A good clean out and spray gets me back on-line.

LiSPie Spike: 'Spiked Dog'
I was having trouble with my connections but had observed that the dog would bark just before the phone rang. I had my dog chained up on a spike in the backyard. On further investigation I found that I had accidently driven the spike through my phone cable. So everytime I tried to connect the dog got an electric charge. The dog would wet himself and earth the line and I would get a good connection. As soon as the ground dried out I was disconnected. Check that your dog is'nt spiked :)
