Changing your phone number (Configure)

Windows 95 Users
Windows 95 User shouldn't have any problems in changing their LiSP Dialup Phone Number. Your may wish to print this out for future reference.

  1. Select "My Computer" from the desktop, and double click on it.

  2. When it opens, double click on "Dial-Up Networking".
  3. When Dial-up Networking opens up, click the LiSP Icon


     

  4. Click on File on the Top Menu and select Properties.

  5. You may then change your phone number to your closest LiSP Point of Presence.


     

  6. Click OK and close Dial-Up Networking, followed by My Computer. You are now set to use the new number!

Windows 3.11 Users
From the Program Manager, select the Run Command from the File Menu. Type in c:\windows\notepad.exe c:\lisp\trumpet\trumpwsk.ini
once you have opened notepad with the specified preferences file, you will need to find a section at the bottom, that will look like
[default vars]
$number=63549000

You can then change your phone number to the closest LiSP Point of Presence.

Macintosh Users
Open the Control Panel folder by selecting it from the Apple Menu. Select and open the Mac TCP control panel and select more. Enter the new phone number in the appropriate field, you can select the phone number from LiSP which has the closest Point of Presence!
