"Prevention is better than cure!"

There are a number of actions that you can do to help prevent a virus from taking over your computer:

1. Make sure you have the lastest virus definitions loaded into your Anti-virus program. Keep your Anti-virus program up-to-date.
2. Run a Full System Scan on your computer on a regular basis.
3. Make sure the Email scanning is turned ON in your Anti-virus program.
4. Install an anti-spam program such as MailWasher (it is FREE). You can delete most unwanted mail directly from the mail server before it hits your computer.
5. Turn off automatic message viewing in your email program.

For Outlook Express:

Select the View menu and Layout...

From the Layout window, under the section: Preview Pane, untick the box next to Show preview pane.

For Eudora:

From the Tools Menu choose Options: under the section Preview Pane, untick Show message preview pane
