Before starting this process please ensure you
have your copy of Windows 95 on CD or Disk.

Double click on ‘My Computer

Double Click on ‘Control Panel

Double click on ‘Network

Ensure that ‘Dial-up Adapter’ and ‘TCP/IP’ are present in the network control panel, if they are not, install them by clicking on the button marked ‘Add

Other adapters and protocols may be installed, check with the customer first before removing any items as they may have a local network comprised of a few computers. If this is the case do not remove any items.

Select ‘TCP/IP’ and then click on the button marked ‘Properties’ to continue

Select the tab labeled ‘IP Address’ and ensure this is set to ‘Obtain IP Address Automatically’.

Click on the tab labeled ‘WINS Configuration’ to continue.

Ensure that WINS is disabled by selecting ‘Disable WINS Resolution’.

Click on the tab labeled ‘Gateway’ to continue.

Ensure that ‘New Gateway’ and ‘Installed Gateways’ are both left blank

Click on the tab labeled ‘DNS Configuration’ to continue.

Ensure that DNS is disabled by selecting ‘Disable DNS’.

By clicking on the button labeled ‘Ok’, this will complete the configuration of Windows Networking.
