Before
starting this process please ensure you have your copy of Windows 95/98
on CD or Disk. |

Double click on the icon marked ‘My Computer’. |

|
|
Double click on the icon marked ‘Control Panel’. |
|
Double click on the icon marked ‘Add/Remove Programs’. |
|
|
|
Click on
the tab marked ‘Windows Setup’ |
Double
click on the component labeled ‘Communications’. |
|
|
Uncheck Dial-Up Networking from the list of components then click on the button marked ‘Ok’ and then click on the buttons marked ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’ to continue. |

Restart the computer by clicking on the button marked ‘Start’, select ‘Shutdown’, select ‘Restart’ and click on the button labeled ‘Ok’ |

Once the computer has restarted, Double click on the icon marked ‘My Computer’ |

Double click on the icon marked ‘Control Panel’. |

Double click on the icon marked ‘Add/Remove Programs’. |
Click
on the tab marked ‘Windows Setup’ |

Double click on the component labeled ‘Communications’. |
|
Check Dial-Up Networking from the list of components then click on the button marked ‘Ok’ and then click on the buttons marked ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’ to continue. When you tick Dial-Up Networking in add-remove programs and the files are being reinstalled you get the pop-ups "A file being copied onto your systems is older than the original file. We suggest you keep the newer file. Do you wish to keep this file?" VERY important that you answer NO to all these questions, otherwise it keeps the FAULTY files and the process does nothing. You will be asked if you would like to restart the computer, select ‘Yes’, once the computer has restarted, follow up by checking over Windows networking and the LiSP icon to double check that the settings are still correct. |
