Double click onto 'My Computer'

Double click onto 'Control Panel'

Locate 'Modems' icon and double click

To add a modem, click onto the 'Add' button

If your modem is connected properly and turned on Click onto the 'Next' button

Leave ‘ Don’t detect my modems, I will select it from a list ‘ unticked.

Windows will attempt to locate the modem.

If no modem is found, you should see the following message.

Click onto the 'Next' button to select it from a list manually.

Under Manufactures, select your particular brand of modem.

Under Models, select your correct modem speed model.

Note: If your modem comes with a diskette/CD, insert it into A: drive or your CDROM drive then click the 'Have Disk' button

Click onto 'Browse' button to locate the INF file, which contains your modem drivers and/or information.

If it displays any inf file click onto it, then click the 'OK' button

It will start to copy files from your drive

Once all files have being copied, click onto the 'Finish' button.

You should notice that an modem is installed.

Click onto the 'Close' button to finish.
