Go to the 'Start' button at bottom left of your screen and choose 'Control Panel'.

Next, click on the 'Network and Internet Connections'

Now choose the first option 'Set up or change your Internet connection'.

 

Click on the 'Connections' tab, then choose the 'Settings' button

 

Now choose the 'Properties' button located near the bottom of the screen.

Now click on the 'Networking' tab at top of the new window.

 

TIP: Ensure ONLY the 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and 'QoS Packet Schedular' options are ticked.

Now, highlight the item you want to check by clicking on the 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' connection and then the 'Properties' button.

Leave all fields blank and ensure you have the following selections:
Obtain an IP address automatically
Obtain a DNS server address automatically

Press OK until you exit all screens.
