Go to the 'Start' button at bottom left of your screen and choose 'Control Panel'.

Next, click on the 'Network and Internet Connections'

Now choose the option 'Phone and Modem Options'.

 

 Click the 'Modems' tab near the top of the new window. Next, click on the 'Properties' button.

 

Now choose the 'Advanced' tab located near the top of the screen.

Insert your modem initialization string into the area 'Extra initialization commands'.

Press 'OK' until you exit all screens.
