Geometry Forum--Student Center
http://forum.swarthmore.edu/students
Geometry ... Ack! Well, maybe not so ack. At the Geometry Forum--Student Center, challenging puzzles, projects, and questions help reinforce classroom learning. The Web site begins with a "problem of the week," which offers students the chance to test their skills, submit solutions, and get online recognition for a job well done. An Internet geometry hunt lets students search the Internet, answer questions, and learn geometry all at the same time! And a software for mathematics link provides pointers to all kinds of math-related shareware programs in cyberspace. Students with specific geometry or other math questions are invited to write notes to "Dr. Math." Dr. Math is actually a group of college math students who volunteer their time to answer questions from other students. These on-call authorities are available throughout the day during the academic year.
