Description: The AWC is designed to do one thing well: allow you to automatically change your desktop wallpaper on a timed basis. The time between changes is defined as a number of seconds, minutes or hours.
The displayed image can be stretched or shrunk for the best fit to the screen, optionally maintaining its aspect ratio, or displayed at its actual size. When displaying a picture the user is not limited to the centre of the screen, as is usually the case in windows, but can choose to display it in any of the four corners of the screen or centred on one of the edges. Additionally you can specify that files smaller than a predefined size should be tiled: again you can specify how the tiles are justified on the screen rather than simply going from the top left.
Resizing is performed using bilinear resampling for the best possible reults. After resizing you can apply various levels of sharpening to further improve image quality.
You can further refine the list of files to display by filtering on file date or age and by file name. For example all files whose name begins 'XMAS' which you've created in the past 30 days.
The AWC is minimised to the system tray rather than to the task bar. To restore it to view just double-click the icon in the tray or right click to pop up a menu.
There's even a full set of command line switches so you can customise multiple shortcuts.
Image formats supported are *.jpg;*.jpeg;*.gif;*.bmp;*.png;*.rle;*.tga;*.pcx.

I'm sure has received more than enough media coverage even in the places not
affected, if not more due to the fact that most of our media runs on electricity!
In this trying time, people within the affected area have been told it's a priority
during the recovery to conserve as much power as we can. This was in one small
way, a way for those of us who can't live without our PCs to keep the monitor
on low power as much and as conveniently as possible - which I figure, is good
practice in any situation is it not? =)
GreenScreen is FREE. I'm providing it to anybody to use as they wish (according
to the license terms in the readme file).

You want to test how your program or web site looks on a screen with lower resolution than your's?
You can change your screen's resolution of course.
But it is probably more convenient just to resize your program's or browser's window to the desired width and height. All you have to do is to select the desired size and then click on the big button. The next window that becomes the forground window (by clicking on that window or it's taskbar button) will be resized.

* Runs applications so it can timely position them or make them transparent.

(Windows has a tendency to move windows out of the margin area because it's trying to reserve that space for the appbar (toolbar) that it thinks is there.)
* Makes windows transparent based on window caption or classname. Any level between 0 (totally transparent) and 255 (totally visible) can be used. Only available in 2k and XP.
* Toggles windows 'always on top'.
* Doesn't require you to keep it running after you run the script.

| Description: Ghost-It! is a program that runs in the system tray, and lets you turn windows into ghost windows. Ghost windows are very special windows. First of all, a ghost window is translucent, meaning you can see through it to whatever is underneath. Secondly, a ghost window will always appear on top of other windows. Thirdly, when a ghost window loses the input focus, it remains translucent and always on top, but all clicks will pass right through it like it wasn't even there until it becomes the active window again, either by clicking on the window's taskbar icon, or by pressing a user-defined hot key. The translucency levels of both active and inactive ghost windows can be configured, along with the hot key used to activate a window.
