Description: Cobian Backup is a multi-threaded program that can be used to schedule and backup your files and directories from their original location to other directories/drives in the same computer or other computer in your network. FTP backup is also supported in both directions (download and upload).
Cobian Backup exists in two different versions: application and service. The program uses very few resources and can be running on the background on your system, checking your backup schedule and executing your backups when necessary. Cobian Backup is not an usual backup application: it only copies your files and folders in original or compressed mode to other destination, creating a security copy as a result. So Cobian Backup can be better described as a "Scheduler for security copies".
Cobian Backup supports several methods of compression and strong encryption.

Description: ICE Mirror - the file mirror utility with Unicode support
This utility creates or maintains an exact duplicate of the original directory. ICE Mirror will compare the mirrored directory to the master directory and correct any disparities. ICE Mirror allows ultra fast mirroring because it performs incremental updates. In other words it only copies files that have changed. If only a few files have been updated, it performs very fast.
Also ICE Mirror allows making differential updates. The differential updates are very useful if you are use read-only media (CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, etc.). There are two steps in differential updates:
1. Comparison the master directory and the mirrored directory.
2. Copying all new files from the master directory to the secondary mirrored directory.
In other words it only copies files that have changed in the mirrored directory to the secondary mirrored directory.

| Description: Savepart is a DOS program to save, restore and copy hard-drive partitions.
With this program you could save all data of a partition into a file then save this file (on a CD for example). Then if something goes wrong with this partition and need install of all softwares back, you can restore the saved partition. So with such a program you do not need to reinstall all software: you just have to restore the file that contains the saving of this partition and then update software you install/uninstall/modify since creation of this file.
Savepart is able to compress data (using the gzip algorithm) and to split them into several files (for example if you need to save a 2 Gb partition on CD's, this will be possible with deflating it and, if necessary, splitting it into 650 Mb files). Almost all partition types are supported. FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 (DOS/Windows) and ext2 (Linux) partitions.
