Description: PRGrep is a combination of the standard search tool provided with Windows and the Unix "grep" utility : it searches a string (or words) in files and displays the lines containing this data.
It is very easy to use (integrated in the Windows explorer) and offers a lot of advanced capabilities such as recursive search in sub-directories, filters on file names, various search modes (plain text, all words, one of the words, binary datas), results exportation, direct edition of found files, search inside compressed files, more.

| Description: Freeware file and disk search engine. Harddisk Search and Stats can search multiple files and folders recursively. You can also specify non-recursive searches. Use as many search-phrases as you want within one search. The search can be filtered according to file extensions. The program has an internal file viewer, but you can also specify an external file viewer, or use the default Windows viewer, which can differ per file type. The search-filter can import all file extensions from a folder (recursively). The program does not need to be installed, and does not use the Windows registry. Simply double-click on the exe and the program starts! Harddisk Search and Stats is able to search all ASCII/text-based file types.

| Description: This program will scan the users CDRs and then catalog and save the file properties (name, directory, attributes, size, and date) and the disc properties (serial #, file system, volume label, # of files, and a user chosen description) onto a database. The user can then run a search for a particular file in the database rather than browse manually through all of the CDRs. Will also work with floppies, zip disks, and any other removable media. Update includes outputing results to a plain text or CSV file, password protection, advanced search, check for duplicate discs, total file count, repair of external databases, auto-asterisks on search entries, and several other options. This version also includes support for saving the contents of compressed files and Windows XP support.
