Description: BonkEnc is a CD ripper, audio encoder and converter for various formats. It can produce MP3, MP4/M4A, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, Bonk and FLAC files. More formats are available through plug-ins.
BonkEnc makes it easy to convert your audio CDs to MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files which you can use in your hardware player or with your favorite audio software. The program supports the CDDB/freedb online CD database and CDText and automatically writes song information to ID3v2 or Vorbis comment tags.
BonkEnc is currently available in 28 languages (English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, Serbian, Finnish, Dutch, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Greek, Korean, Danish, Swedish, Czech, Slovak, Portuguese (Brazilian), Polish, Turkish, Norwegian, Lithuanian, Romanian and Esperanto).
The 1.0 release includes mainly bug fixes and encoder updates.

It works with a new technology, reading audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that can't be corrected, it will tell you on which time position the (possible) distortion occurred, so you could easily control it with e.g. the media player

Usage of the Windows 95 and Windows NT ASPI Interface, so both SCSI and ATAPI CD-ROM drives are supported
Hidden sector synchronization (jitter correction)
Secure, fast and burst extraction methods selectable. Fast extraction should run at the same speed as other grabbers, but is probably not exact anymore. Burst mode just grabs the audio data without any synchronization.
Read error and complete loss of sync detection and correction in secure modes, as far as possible
Output of time positions of all non-exact corrections and listen to these positions
Copy of ranges of music data, not only tracks
Automatic Speed reduction on errors and fallback afterwards
Normalization of extracted audio

| Description: Audiograbber is a beautiful piece of software that grabs digital audio from cd's. It copies the audio digitally-not through the soundcard-which enables you to make perfect copies of the originals. It can even perform a test to see that the copies really are perfect. Audiograbber can also automatically normalize the music, delete silence from the start and/or end of tracks, and send them to a variety or external MP3 encoders, such as Fraunhofers L3enc, or even use some MP3/WMA encoders internally for automatic creation of MP3's. Audiograbber can download and upload disc info from freedb, an Internet compact disc database. You can even record your vinyl LP's or cassette tapes with Audiograbber and make wav's or MP3's of them. There are a lot more functions in Audiograbber, but to put it simply: Audiograbber has the most features one can wish from such a program! Language files and MP3 encoders can be found at authors site.

| Description: CD'n'Go! is a Mp3 Suite, formed by a Digital Audio Extractor, an Audio Compressor and a File Tagger, you can extract digital audio data from your standard audio CDs using your CDROM. CD'n'Go! support a wide variety of SCSI CDROM readers, including ATAPI drives. The CDDB button let you get the song titles from a CDDB server and then store them in a standard Windows CDPlayer.INI file. It can automagically set the ID3 TAGs to make MP3 files or other compressed audio files. Of course the best way to determine the real capabilities of this program is using it, you can tag a file with standard 1.00, 1.01 and Lyrics 2.00 fields and almost all WinAMP styles. Even you can rename the file based in this fields using different rename styles. In the little right window you can see the MP3 properties, like MPEG level, layer, sampling frequency, bitrate, channel counter and stereo mode, enphasis, etc. and, of course, the file size and the time lenght. The time lenght fail in VBR files, but I will try to fix it in a new version
