Call in for souvenirs or ring for information on 02 6972 3645. Walk the ‘crooked mile’ of our unique main street, originally a bullock track woven around gold diggings and old tree stumps. The Green Corridor – an award winning walking and bike track leading to Wyalong. Douglas DC3 Dakota – this aircraft is situated in the Lions Park (Southern entrance to West Wyalong). The park also contains a 1914 Victorian Wagon. A picnic area, public toilets and barbecue facilities are available. Wyalong, this historic town features a collection of historic buildings clustered along the Newell Highway. For memorable day trips, explore our historical bush villages of Tallimba, Ungarie, Weethalle, Barmedman and Mirrool, each offering a special experience in the bush. The Poppet Head – this gold mine replica is located in a reserve that contains barbeques, picnic tables, chairs and toilet facilities. Historical Museum – (16 Main Street) open 2pm to 5pm daily. Presents a broad spectrum of exhibits illustrating the growth of the town and district over the past century. West Wyalong Local Aboriginal Artifact Shop- to explore Wiradjuri art and culture. Lake Cowal – NSW’s largest ephemeral lake and resting place for migratory birds. McCann Park is the site of the White Tank, the original water supply for the town.
